Well it's all over and done with for another year. Meghan the Cheerless Cheerleader and Tyler the "Scream" dude ran around collecting their candy. We had a good time, we went with friends that were visiting from England. We tried Ramstein this year. Won't be doing that again, next year we'll go back to Vogelweh to the bigger housing area, but they still got a little bit of candy ( the least amount they have EVER gotten trick or treating, even in Minot in sub-zero temps!) and had fun running from house to house. The dentist will be glad to know next week that they didn't collect the usual bag full, lol. The weather held beautifully. Earlier this week it was calling for snow/rain/freezing rain for Halloween. But none of that materialized and Tyler never even put on a coat. Now I'm resisting the urge to get their candy bags from the kitchen and assert my "Mom's rights" on the good candy. I promptly confiscated the one Almond Joy Meghan got when she dumped out her bag. And Tyler offered up his one box of Milk Duds willingly, saying he hates them. Strange child. How can you hate caramel and chocolate? He must be adopted.
Next year I'm hoping to get them to brave one of the many haunted houses that various squadrons put on during the week. Neither of them were interested this year. I'm also hoping one of these years to get to Frankenstein's castle, about an hour and a half from here. Tons of fun I've heard. That seems like a must-do while in Germany. Got 2 more Halloween's left to accomplish that. I also heard Disneyland Paris puts on one heck of a show, but that might be pushing it, lol. I will probably try to get Rod to go for it, but I'm not going to get my hopes up for that one.
The rest of the weekend should be pretty quiet. I have some Christmas cards to plan out and some swap cards to dream up. Not to mention my scramping room needs a bit of a clean up. That's an understatement. I've been on strike since Rod turned my craft room into a greenhouse to ripen the peppers he decided to grow this fall. My room now smells like dirt. He can't complain about the mess til he gets them out of there. Think if I "accidentally" dump bleach in the planter he'll be mad? I can say I was "cleaning..."
Think tomorrow I will haul out the fall decorations and spruce up the house a bit. I decided, purely out of laziness, to not get my Halloween stuff out. But I do have a few fall themed things I might break out of the box this weekend. We'll see. Til next time...Happy Halloween!!!

Your mom mentioned your blog and I asked for the address. Great to read about you and the family.
So do you have a special affinity for Almond Joys or does Meghan have an allergy?
